IMRT seems most effective radiation therapy for prostate cancer

April 17, 2012 -- The use of intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) for prostate cancer caused fewer toxicities and less cancer recurrence than conformal radiotherapy and proton therapy treatments, according to a study published in the April 18 issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association.
